Empathy and Collaboration: Accessibility in IT
To better support users with disabilities in their interactions with technology, IT professionals should ask for their input, take a moment to experience their challenges, and collaborate with others.
Tara is a chemistry instructor at Modesto Junior College, where she also serves as the OER/ZTC Faculty Coordinator for the college. She is involved and interested in initiatives regarding accessibility, antiracism, Universal Design for Learning, Open Educational Resources, online learning, and academic technology.
She has a PhD in Educational Technology, MS in Chemistry, and BS in Chemistry and Biology, and has past experience as an instructional designer and in academic administration.
