Ted Eismeier
Biography
A veteran education communications and branding strategist, Ted Eismeier has advised some of most innovative minds and independent thinkers working to address issues of access, quality, and outcomes in postsecondary education and lifelong learning. Over more than a decade at the intersection of media, policy, and practice, Ted has forged strong working relationships with the sector’s most influential journalists, analysts and policymakers.
Ted’s practice centers on advising education technology companies, social impact investors, and non-profit organizations, helping them harness the power of brand narrative, earned media strategy, public opinion research, and content creation to scale their impact and reach influential national audiences. An expert on trends in higher education media and journalism, Ted has spoken at the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning Annual Conference, Council of Independent Colleges State Councils Convening, the SHEEO Policy Conference, and as a guest lecturer on education communications and entrepreneurship at the USC Rossier School of Education.
The product of an academic family, Ted inherited a passion for supporting upward mobility through education and is active in the community as a board member and pro-bono advisor. He has mentored early-stage startups for the TechStars Workforce Development Accelerator, a technology acceleration program focused on addressing the challenges of the modern labor market through emerging technologies. He also serves as a campaign advisor to THINK College, a national initiative dedicated to developing, expanding, and improving research and practice in inclusive higher education for students with intellectual disabilities.
