Biography
Teresa B. Walker is Associate Dean of Libraries at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville providing oversight of UT Libraries teaching and learning initiatives, The Commons, student success programs, community outreach and diversity efforts, research assistance services, liaison programs, marketing and communications, and branch libraries. She leads the Libraries in conceptualizing and implementing services in support of research, instruction, and student engagement at all levels throughout the greater university community. Directs Libraries’ strategies and content creation in support of online learning applying emerging technologies to research and instructional services. Represents the Libraries in providing leadership to campus teaching and learning initiatives. Provides leadership for media initiatives including Libraries’ video streaming services. Guides the assessment of services to support teaching, scholar’s services, and student success. Her research interests focus on campus academic partnerships, informal learning spaces, and the role of the library in student success and retention. Plays an enhanced role in development to emphasize student outreach and engagement efforts.
