Biography

I am currently the CIO at Roanoke College and have 40 years experience in IT and Higher Ed.   I have worked in Higher Ed since1983, starting my career as a "computer operator" right out of highschool.   I went on to receive a degree in Computer Science and Statistics while working full-time.  I worked in the Administrative Computer System area for many years, programming and supporting our main ERP system.  I also developed an IT student program to allow College students to work within the IT department as professionals and receive extensive skill set training.  Throughout these years, I also developed our IT Helpdesk.  This lead to management of the Client Services area.   I then became Associate CIO and supervised not only Client Services, but also Data Services.  In November of 2021, I became the CIO for Roanoke College.  

Outside of work, I enjoy family time. I am the grandmother to a blended family of 4 grandchildren.  My husband (also a Roanoke College employee) and I enjoy every minute possible with our grandchildren!
