Terry Morris

Biography

Terry Morris is an Associate Professor at William Rainey Harper College where she teaches web development, e-commerce, programming, database, and instructional technology courses. Terry has also developed and taught professional development workshops for the faculty at Harper College. Terry has authored several web development textbooks published by Addison-Wesley. The most recent is the 4th edition of Web Development & Design Foundations with XHTML (see http://webdevfoundations.net). The recently published Online Learning Idea Book: 95 Proven Ways to Enhance Technology-Based and Blended Learning (Pfeiffer Publishing) includes several of Terry's online teaching strategies. Developing and teaching online courses since 1999, Terry has been honored with two national awards: the 2006 Blackboard Greenhouse Exemplary Course Award (Online Course Category) for her E-Commerce Development course and the Instructional Technology Council's 2008 Outstanding e-Learning Faculty Award. Academic credentials include a B.A. in Mathematics Secondary Education from Northeastern Illinois University, an M.S. in Information Systems from Roosevelt University and a Master Online Teacher Certificate from the Illinois Online Network at the University of Illinois. Terry is currently pursuing doctoral studies in e-learning and teaching online.
