Thierry Koscielniak is the executive advisor for digital strategy and educational innovation at the Arts et Métiers Institute of Technology (ENSAM) in Paris, France.
He performs an active watch and research on Emerging Technologies, such as generative AI and extended reality (XR), for teaching and learning.
He leads the French delegation to the annual EDUCAUSE conference and was a member of the EDU19 program committee.
He is the founder and president of France Immersive Learning, an association of French XR stakeholders in teaching and training, and a founding member of XR4EUROPE. He promotes the concept of an academic virtual world called "la Métaversité."
He is an expert appointed for DG CONNECT's European Community critical digital technologies studies and a member of the European Digital Education Hub.
He is the former president of the CSIESR (www.csiesr.eu), the French association of IT professionals in higher education.
He is also a former vice president of EUNIS (www.eunis.org). EUNIS is the European association of IT professionals in higher education.
Thierry completed his Ph.D. in computational chemistry at Sorbonne University in Paris.
