Biography

Dr. Ferrin is an emeritus Professor in the Departments of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Biopharmaceutical Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco, and is Director of the UCSF Resource for Biocomputing, Visualization, and Informatics. He received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 1971 from the Institute of Technology at the University of Minnesota, and his Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics from UCSF in 1986.
