Tom Evans

Biography

Thomas A Evans is Manager of Digital Scholarship Research in the Office of Distance Education and eLearning at the Ohio State University. He oversees the open courses and grant programs within the Digital Scholarship unit. Evans provides support for faculty development in the areas of instructional technology, online and hybrid course design, massive open online courses (MOOC) and other open education initiatives. In addition to oversight, Tom is also involved in the design, development, and delivery for each MOOC that runs at Ohio State. Further, he often provides consults and leads workshops to support learning technology. Prior to Ohio State, Tom worked in the areas of instructional technology and faculty development at Widener University and the Community College of Baltimore County. Evans holds a Masters of Education from Widener University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
