Biography

Tom Phillips specializes in leading CIO, CISO, CFO, and other senior executive searches for higher education clients across the country. Tom is based in Boston, MA.

A partial listing of clients Tom has engaged with includes Northeastern University (CIO), Yale University, Northwestern University, UNH (CIO), University of Southern California, Vanderbilt University, Cornell University (CISO), Wake Forest University, Rutgers University, The College of New Jersey (CIO), Ithaca College (CIO), Villanova University (CISO), and Oberlin College (CIO).

Tom is a Vice President with Koya Leadership Partners. In June of this year Koya Leadership Partners joined forces with Diversified Search. The integrated firm represents one of the largest nonprofit and higher education practices in the executive search industry. Prior to Koya, Tom worked with a boutique higher education executive search firm, Brill Neumann. Before entering the search world Tom worked in student affairs at the University of Michigan and Oregon State University. 

Tom received his B.S., cum laude from Florida State University. He earned his M.Ed from Colorado State University. Tom is the 2019 Canadian Masters Swimming National Champion in the 50 freestyle!
