Biography

I began serving at Minneapolis College as Chief Information Officer in 2013, my focus has been on developing a team of specialized Information Technology experts who provide effective solutions, excellent customer service and proactive support for students and employees amidst constantly changing systems and needs.

I lead technology implementations to support the College’s mission and vision by empowering staff to explore innovative solutions, leverage existing resources and take a planned approach to merging systems.  I seek to drive efficiencies in computer networking, wireless coverage, mobile applications and website development.  I strateigcally plan and support the College’s portfolio of technology solutions.

My previous positions, working with the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, benefit Minneapolis College by fostering partnerships, which create economies of scale through sharing technology assets across multiple campuses. By assessing and adopting best practices, I am adept at guiding the institution through current and future technology transitions.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Technology and Management from Metropolitan State University, associate’s degree in Business Management from Minnesota West Community and Technical College and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management. I will complete my Master of Science in Educational Leadership in June 2020.  I am actively involved in statewide organizations providing opportunities for youth to explore technology in informal, creative, social environments as they gain programming skills.

I cosponsor Minnesota State’s Gender Equity in Technology initiative for supporting, empowering and encouraging females to work in the technology industry. The initiative provides opportunity for women and men to collaborate in providing an equitable and inclusive environment.
