Tim Cain

Biography

Trained as a cell biologist, Cain is an experienced strategist and innovator with progressively increasing leadership experience in higher education and academic medicine where his interests have focused on the information sciences, applied informatics, and the application of technology to learning and knowledge-based systems. During his nearly twenty year tenure at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Cain guided the conceptualization and design of a number of information systems, spearheaded organizational support models for advancing the adoption of academic technologies, and led the development of applied knowledge-based solutions from concept to commercial product. Demonstrable and extensive work with academic, business, organizational, strategic planning in higher education with a record of innovation, scholarship, and service.
