Tim Wrye
Biography
Tim Wrye serves as CIO at Highline College in Des Moines, WA. He is responsible for planning and oversight of all technology operations for the Seattle-area college of more than 10,000 students. Beginning his career in academic technology before becoming CIO, Tim has been actively involved in state-wide IT governance and project leadership including chairing the IT Commission and the ctcLink (ERP) Project Steering Committee. Over the years he has had the opportunity to participate in Highline's numerous international partnerships in Southern Africa, China, Egypt, and Indonesia. At EDUCUASE, Tim has been a conference presenter as well both a Program Committee and Community Building and Mentoring Team member for EDUCAUSE regional conferences, a past member of the EDUCAUSE Enterprise Technology Advisory Committee, and most recently a member of the 2025 Top 10 Panel. Tim received a BME from Pacific Lutheran University, and an M.Ed. from the University of Washington.
