Tolgay has over twenty-five years of industry business-IT experience covering the whole IT spectrum. He is currently leading cybersecurity efforts as the Chief Information Security Officer at UC Merced. He is an advocate of lifelong learning and teaches graduate business analytics courses at Saint Mary's College of California. He is an accredited ISACA CGEIT and CRISC trainer and serves as the Government and Regulatory Advocacy Director for ISACA Sacramento Chapter. His current research interests are cybersecurity, privacy, digital transformation, business analytics, and educational IT programs. He has various industry certifications, a B.S. degree in computer engineering, an MBA, and Ph.D. focusing on information security, quality, and patient safety.
