Thomas Hyatt is the Vice President for Technology at Maryland Institute College of Art. He graduated from Towson University in 1979 with a Masters of Education in Art. He has been active in technology systems since the late 70s and, as a practicing artist, has had a particular interest in how institutions implement new tools and technologies for the fine arts. Over the past 20 years, his focus has been on advancing systems at MICA that provide technology resources for teaching and learning and in building administrative systems that improve business processes and the quality of information. During the past fours years, he has provided leadership for the implementation of the Peoplesoft Financials and Student Administration systems as well as the Peoplesoft Enterprise Portal.
Mr. Hyatt has spoken at a number of conferences on MICAs portal implementation including the AICAD conference in Philadelphia and the Peoplesoft HEUG conference in Las Vegas.
