Torrain Findley
Information Security Officer | Florida Institute of Technology

As the Information Security Officer at the Florida Institute of Technology, I lead efforts to strengthen the university’s cybersecurity posture and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as CMMC and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). My work focuses on governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), network segmentation, endpoint protection, and the secure management of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) environments.

I collaborate closely with executive leadership, research teams, and technical staff to implement advanced security controls, manage incident response, and align institutional practices with national cybersecurity standards. I am deeply interested in emerging cybersecurity technologies, AI-driven threat detection, and the integration of compliance frameworks into higher education environments.

Beyond my technical and compliance responsibilities, I am passionate about cybersecurity awareness, workforce development, and fostering a security culture that bridges the gap between academic research and practical security operations.
