Trevor Dawes

Biography

Trevor A. Dawes is the Vice Provost for Libraries and Museums at the University of Delaware. He was previously an Associate University Librarian at Washington University in St. Louis, and also held positions at Princeton University Library and the Columbia University Libraries before that. He has been active professionally, serving on several local, regional and national library committees. He was one of the founding members and the first president of the New Jersey Chapter of the Black Caucus of the American Library Association. Mr. Dawes has published in the Journal of Access Services and co-authored the Association of Research Library's Spec Kit (#290) on Access Services. In addition, he is the editor of Marketing and Managing Electronic Resources, and the co-editor of Twenty-First Century Access Services: On the Frontline of Academic Librarianship. Mr. Dawes holds an M.A. and Ed.M. in Educational Administration from Columbia University and an MLS from Rutgers University's School of Communication, Information, and Library Studies. Dawes was the 2013-14 President of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL).
