Biography

I am a Neuroanatomist, and have taught life sciences of some sort for 40 years at 7 universities, including University of Illinois, UMUC, and Wayland Baptist. I also have a PhD in Education with an specialty in Instructional Design for Online Learning.  I have taught online for 25 years.  I facilitate the TxDLA Digital Accessibility Certification, and consult nationally in accessibility.

I am a past-president of the Texas Distance Learning Association (TxDLA) and current Chair person for professional development.  I am the past education chairman for the Texas Academy of Science, and past president of the Texas Blackboard Users Group.  My speciality and research interest is in Learning Styles and their association to brain synapses and pathways.  I am the Director of WBUonline overseeing 13 campuses and I  provide instructional design, pedagogical direction, and accessibility training to faculty for both f2f and online teaching.
