Uma Gupta

Biography

Dr. Uma Gupta is a national and international keynote speaker, Fulbright scholar, author and Professor of Business at the State University of New York and a business consultant to US corporations on talent management, leadership development, and organizational transformation.

She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in technology and business, including Management Information Systems, Data Governance, Data Strategy, and Leadership. She also teaches service-learning courses where students apply the technology concepts and theories they learn in the classroom to a real-world environment.

Using cutting-edge research from neuroscience about the human brain and its inner workings, she helps us understand why we do what we do. She presents practical tips on how to find and nourish our happiness and inner wisdom, no matter what our circumstances may be. She has been quoted in Forbes.com, Reuters, and NPR.

She was chosen as the Top Ten Influential Women in Technology in Houston and was nominated again for the award in Rochester, New York. The Girl Scouts of Western New York presented her with the Women of Distinction Award. She is the recipient of many other awards and recognitions.

She holds a PhD in industrial engineering and an MBA from the University of Central Florida, Florida, and a graduate degree in mathematics.
