Vicki Westergard

Biography

Vicki Westergard has held a variety of positions since she came to St. Petersburg College in 1989. Starting as an Instructional Assistant in computers and accounting, she also taught various computer subjects as an adjunct. She was promoted to be the college's first Web Coordinator in 1998, working to integrate the college's web presence and services with enterprise systems. Web Coordination joined with Instructional Technology to become Web and Instructional Technology Services in 2004, and Westergard was named Director of the combined entity, later adding eCampus to her responsibilities. In 2014 SPC's Online Revitalization study brought about a major expansion and Westergard assumed the position of Executive Director of Instructional Design and Development. Westergard earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Management from Eastern Illinois University. Upon graduation she worked for 8 years as a computer programmer/analyst before relocating to Florida. Vicki has served on various committees at SPC, chairing the MySPC Advisory Group and co-chairing the Instructional Technology Advisory Group and more recently the Online Revitalization Committee. She served as a charter member of the NROC (National Repository of Online Courses) Advisory Board, and was awarded a Jane M. Ryland fellowship in 1997.
