Biography

Vicky Phillips, an online education expert, has been researching, rating and ranking online college degree programs since 1989, when she designed America's first online counseling center for distance learners on AOL. In partnership with the Princeton Review, she authored the first print guide to online master's degrees: Best Distance Learning Graduate Schools (1998) and then The Adult Student's Guide to College: Never Too Late to Learn. Today, she serves as Chief Online Education Analyst, researching and expanding GetEducated.com's online college ranking and student review system—a system that helps consumers compare, rank and rate accredited online college degree programs on dimensions ranging from affordability to brand reputation and student satisfaction. She designed and oversees the free consumer service, The Diploma Mill Police, a project helps students avoid online education scams.
