New Partnerships: Engaging Undergraduates in Research through Technology

Victoria Getis is the Senior Director of Teaching and Learning Technologies for Northwestern University IT (http://www.it.northwestern.edu/ and http://digitallearning.northwestern.edu/). She has responsibility for the course management system (Canvas), fostering faculty members' deeper involvement in blended learning, and is involved in active learning environment planning, reducing the cost of course materials, and the use of learning analytics at the university. From 2006 to 2013, she served as the director of Ohio State University's Digital Union (http://digitalunion.osu.edu) and has a background in instructional technology gained at Ohio State and the University of Massachusetts, as well as a degree in history from the University of Michigan.
