Biography

Dr. Vincent Novack is the Assistant Vice President of Institutional Research and Assessment at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). Dr. Novack also teaches statistics in several graduate level programs at the university. Before coming to CSULB Dr. Novack held various managerial positions in higher education for over twenty-five years. Prior to his career in higher education, Dr. Novack worked in private industry. Dr. Novack has presented research findings at several state, national, and international conferences. He has also authored or co-authored research articles in numerous professional journals. Dr. Novack’s responsibilities at CSULB include overseeing the student evaluation or faculty, projecting enrollment, providing data for academic program review and accreditation, and responding to all external requests for institutional data including college guides such as U.S. News and World Report. Dr. Novack is a graduate of Pitzer College (B.A., Organizational Studies), and holds a master’s and doctoral degree in higher education administration from the Claremont Graduate University. D
