Biography
Walter Bechtel is the Assistant Vice President for Point Solutions with the department of Information Technology, University of Miami. He has been with the university for over 32 years, starting as a programmer analyst. In the mid-1980's he started a group focused on the technology needs of end users which grew to over 30 people. Currently, his responsibilities include enterprise-wide email (Microsoft O365, over 40,000 accounts), collaboration (O365, Google Apps), document management (Hyland OnBase, both clinical and institutional) and personal storage (Box, One Drive, Google Drive).
