Dr. Wesam Helou is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Cleveland State University, where he serves as a key member of the university's executive leadership team. With a distinguished record in higher education, Dr. Helou spearheads initiatives that drive institutional excellence by enhancing student outcomes, accelerating digital transformation, and ensuring IT operations are tightly aligned with the university's strategic priorities. His leadership fosters innovation in technology, positioning IT as a critical enabler of academic and operational success. Dr. Helou holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering (2011) and an ME in Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship (2012) from Wright State University, and earned his Doctorate in Business Administration, with a focus on IT, from Cleveland State University in 2024.
