Biography

Will Monroe is the Assistant Director for Instructional Technology at the Louisiana State University Law Center. He has also taught courses at LSUand Sam Houston State University. He received a doctorate in educational leadership and research with a concentration in educational technology from Louisiana State University.

Dr. Monroe serves on the Board of Directors at the Louisiana Partnership for Children and Families. He also serves as an editorial review board member for the International Journal of Innovative Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and as a peer reviewer for Codex, the Journal of the Louisiana Chapter of the ACRL. He also serves on the LSULearning and Teaching Collaborative. Will has presented at national and international conferences.

Will is involved in many teaching activities in LSU’s College of Human Sciences and Education. He designed taught Introduction to Classroom Technology (ELRC 2507). In this course, he taught pre-service teachers to create their own professional websites, use Creative Commons licenses, and use digital storytelling for educational purposes. He also designed and taught Information Literacy Instruction (LIS 7807). In this course, he taught online graduate students in the Library and Information Science program how to use systematic instructional design to help library patrons with information needs. He has also taught Program Evaluation (CIED 7355) in the College of Education at Sam Houston State University.
