Will Wakeling

Biography

Will Wakeling retired as Dean of University Libraries at Northeastern University in 2016, having served in that capacity since 2008. He came to Northeastern in October 1998 as Collection Development Officer, having previously served for eight years as Assistant Director for Collections at the University of Birmingham in the UK. He has an MA from Leeds University, and an MLS from Sheffield University. Recent projects included the development of Northeastern's Digital Media Commons in Snell Library, and its digital repository service (DRS), as well as joint projects with the Boston Library Consortium, for which he served as President. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Society for Scholarly Publishing, and has taught as an adjunct faculty member in the Graduate School for Librarianship and Information Science at Simmons College, Boston.
