Bill Arnold, Information Security Analyst: Bill has over seventeen years of higher education experience in information technology and security at the University of Tampa. For the last four years, he has served as an Information Security Analyst, participating in a wide variety of key information security initiatives such as data protection, risk management, incident management, ISO/IEC 27001 implementation and certification, infrastructure security, deployment of a new cloud ERP, and implementing Identity Management as a Service (IDaaS). The IDaaS project is a multi-phased endeavor around automating faculty and staff on and off boarding, reducing usernames and passwords through the incremental deployment of single sign-on, and securing University data by configuring and requiring multi-factor authentication. Additionally, as a new cloud Student Information System is implemented at the university, students will also be provisioned IDs, self-service password resets and single sign on capability for prevalent services they use at the university (LMS, EMR, Email, access to equipment in labs and classrooms, et al). He holds a B.S in Management of Information Systems as well as the Network+ credential. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a member of the Research Education Networking – Information Sharing and Analysis organization (REN-ISAC). Bill has co-presented at several EDUCAUSE conferences on information security-related topics.
