Bill Miller

Biography

William Miller is the Manager of the University of Connecticut Map and Geographic Information Center (MAGIC). He is currently supervising doctoral and undergraduate students involved in a large digitization project of the University of Connecticut Map Collections and Connecticut Environmental Protection Agency materials. These projects include aerial photography, Railroad lines of the New York, New Haven Railroad 1915 and Connecticut Surficial and Bedrock maps, just to name a few. These maps have all been digitized, accompanied by metadata and geo-referenced. These useful collections will be easily accessible through the MAGIC website. They all will be available for download and can be effectively used by all levels of researcher from the most casual researcher to scientist. William has a BA degree in Education from the University of Connecticut (1977,) served in the United States Navy during the Viet Nam conflict, and is Returned Peace Corps (Fiji).
