Bill Thieke

Biography

Bill Thieke is the Director of Technology Support for Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York. His responsibilities include managing the College's Service Desk, Classroom Support operations, Instructional Technology, Event Support and Training initiatives Bill completed his Ph.D. in Education from Syracuse University (1994) with a concentration in higher education administration. He also earned a Masters in Public Administration from Syracuse University (1983) and his Bachelors degree in Wildlife Biology from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (1980) in Syracuse, New York.… Bill was an Instructional Technology Consultant at Le Moyne College from 1999- 2009, an Assistant Director of Information Technology, Instructional Technology Support at Hamilton College from 1997- 1999 and a Computer and Software Support Specialist for OCM BOCES from 1996- 1997. In addition, he was an adjunct faculty member in the Computer Science Department at Le Moyne College from 2000- 2002. Prior to these positions, he spent seven years in various professional positions in Students Affairs at Syracuse University, Le Moyne College and Onondaga Community College. Bill also served as a State Captain for ACM SIGUCCS for several years and was Co- Chair of the 2003 SIGUCCS Annual conference in San Antonio, Texas. He is currently active in NYCHES (the Upstate NY chapter of ACM) and HDI.
