Winnie Wan is a Content Strategist for the IT Communications team at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Her role involves supporting all communication aspects for the IT Department, which includes providing strategic communication consultation to support IT service owners, such as Desktop Services, Data Governance and Human Resources. Her other duties include managing crisis communications, providing internal communications, event planning, and collaborating with fellow campus communicators.
She began working at UBC IT in 2011 where she started as a Marketing and Communications Specialist. Over the years, Winnie’s role evolved to become a Content Strategist. Previously, Winnie worked in marketing support roles at the Certified Management Accountants of British Columbia and Odlum Brown Limited.
Winnie is a UBC alumna with a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Marketing and Human Resources Management from the Sauder School of Business. In her free time, Winnie loves cycling, hiking, baking, and crafting.
