Biography

Xavier Prats Monné is the Senior Advisor for Strategic Initiatives of the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). He is also the Special Advisor of Teach For All, a global non-profit organisation whose mission is to expand educational opportunity around the world; the President of the European Committee of the King Baudouin Foundation; and the Chief Advisor to the Board of the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT-Health).

He previously served at the European Commission (the executive branch of the European Union) as Director-General for Health and Food Safety, as Director-General for Education and Culture, as Director for employment policy, as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Vice-President for Foreign Affairs, and as Assistant Spokesman to President Jacques Delors.
