Biography

Dr. Yuko Mulugetta is the inaugural Chief Analytics Officer and leads the Office of Analytics and Institutional Research at Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY. Under her leadership, Ithaca College has established the first data warehouse in the Amazon cloud and the two-tiered data governance system. Yuko has also significantly advanced predictive analytics operations for enrollment management and student success initiatives.

A recognized leader in the field of predictive analytics technology, she has nearly forty research publications. To acknowledge her contributions, IBM granted their highest recognition award to Ithaca College in 2014. Dr. Mulugetta also received a Charles F. Elton Best Paper Award from AIR (Association for Institutional Research) in 2018.

Currently, Yuko serves on the inaugural Enterprise Summit Program Committee. The committee is comprised of six members – two representatives from EDUCAUSE, NACUBO, and AIR, and work with staff liaisons from the three national associations. She also served on the EDUCAUSE Core Data Service (CDS) Survey Project Team in 2017-18, which focused on redesigning the Analytics Maturity and Deployment Indices in the CDS Survey. Yuko’s interests include: research in higher education, predictive analytics, EDW architecture in the cloud, and data governance systems.
